n2image: Angelina

Wow! Check out Angelina! She looks absolutely fabulous! She just had twins! This is a leather, strapless dress worn in the Summer. Yet, it works. Well, she is making it work. I do not recommend this look for everyone; because, everyone can not pull it off...due to the silhouette.

This is such a great look! I am loving the peep-toe, royal blue shoes with the grey dress. It is amazing how a pair of shoes can make a look POP! The asymetrical cut-out on the shoulder of the dress, is hot! Cameron attended the Teen Choice Awards and was dressed quite appropriately.

Lady in Red

This is a beautiful dress and it is actually part of Victoria Beckham's collection. However, I am not sure of the sizes. I am guessing.......small. In any case, you may want to invest in a red dress. It is a fun color and could be a great look.

Fabulous Forties!

People say that 40 is the new 30. Some folks go as far as calling 40 the new 20. Um...20 at heart, maybe. These ladies below represent the forties, quite well. They have maintained their weight, which could be a major wardrobe malfunction...if, it is not up to par. Their clothing fits well and the silhouettes are appropriate (always...in my eyes...if you feel confident). Great looks.

The Electric Eclectic

I am a huge fan of blending various styles together; while, creating a signature look. The images below are so great. They are dramatic in a simple and natural way. Not everyone would be that daring to mash-up colors, prints and textures; however, it all boils down to confidence. If YOU believe that YOU look amazing...well, your audience will feel the same. I believe that someone's cheese has been moved. Change is good.

Hollywood Casual

Well, you know how they do it in Hollywood. For some reason, almost everything looks great. Halle is so casual in the picture below; yet, she pulls it off in a "I just hopped out of bed, nursed the baby, threw this on and I look/feel fabulous kind of way." Some of us, just have IT without the shades and some of us just DO NOT! The look below is dangerous, do not try this at home.

Who wears Short Shorts?

This is an interesting look. When I stumbled upon this picture, I was a bit amazed. Normally, I am not a fan of shorts on women. I just believe that by a certain age, shorts should remain folded on the table at the store. Not everyone looks great in shorts and not everyone selects a pair of shorts in the appropriate size. In the case below, it appears these shorts are tailored and specifically made for Sophia Bush. She is playing down the semi-nude look by adding a long-sleeve cardigan. The wedge sandals are a perfect color and blend well with her skintone. Khaki has actually made a comeback, this season.

It's All in the Bag!

I am a firm believer in the power of accessories. This Jimmy Choo bag is simply divine. If she had only a wallet and her sunglasses case inside....it would still be the right size. It fits! A bag always fits! In this case, it is obvious the bag is kind of stuffed. All of her accessories (sunglasses, sandals and Jimmy) work together and causes this outfit to POP!

Pasties 101

Honestly, Victoria Beckham is incredibly stylish. In this particular photo, I would not have anything negative to say; however, I am having an issue with the pasties. There are several different colors and brands on the market. She decided to select white with a sheer black tee. In this case, I probably would have chosen a darker color (black or nude/beige). It is amazing how the camera captures everything. In any case, she looks amazing. The ankle strap and skirt flow well, together. You can hardly go wrong with black and white. If the silhouette and texture is right, you should have a win-win situation.

Halle B - Marchesa and Jimmy Choo

Halle attended the Shanghai International Film Festival and she looked FABULOUS! She wore a snow-white Marchesa gown and Jimmy Choo sandals. She kept the look quite simple, with the stud earrings and bracelet. The accessories are appropriate for this look.

Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui

Who knew that Marc Jacobs looked sooooo amazing, beneath the shoulder length hair and eyeglasses?? OMG! I love this clip, because they appropriately covered the NY "fashion" atmosphere. It is apparent that things have changed. This video clip is courtesy of style.com.

Gucci: Fall Winter 2009/2010

Ladies!! This collection makes fierce look like NADA! Other than the fact that you will have to be a size "I just came out of the womb" to wear the leather leggings.... the shoes and bags will fit! Yes Darling, I know Summer is barely scratching the surface. Nevertheless, I am so ready for Fall Winter 2009/2010. How about yourself?

R.I.P.

It is so ironic that my last sentence, from the previous entry, stated "live a little." Today, a heroic Security Officer fell victim to a senseless act of violence, in D.C. It just goes to show you that....Life is Short and this is Not a Dress Rehearsal.

Rest in Peace....Stephen Tyrone Johns.

Life is Short....

I could not resist the Lexus IS 250C Campaign. Have you seen the new Lexus convertible? OMG! It is just too adorable, chic and stylish. I am sure that men will invest in this car; however, it can definitely be in a diva's car wardrobe. I just may test drive it, with the top down.....just because, life is short and Lexus has given me permission to live a little.

Race for the Cure

The Nations Capitol was home to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, today. Thousands of people walked and ran around the Mall to bring hope, awareness, faith, love, courage, strength, power and support...as it pertains to breast cancer. This disease impacts us in so many ways, whether directly or indirectly. This organization has raised the bar on awareness and each of us is held accountable to take action. What type of action, you may ask? It may be a self-examination, mammogram, sitting with a loved one during chemotherapy, assisting a friend with a wig, giving encouraging words to a stranger, sending a card or just smiling at someone with a bald head covered by a bandana. There are so many brave individuals battling this debilitating disease. I say to them and us all....There Is Hope.

Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2009-2010

This collection is simply breath-taking. The color & silhouette combinations are brilliant. Technically, Summer 2009 has not arrived and I am already excited about Fall/Winter. Enjoy!

Ebony & Ivory

I just love this look! Estelle's image is impeccable from head to toe. In any picture or video, I have seen, her hair is ALWAYS on point. I just love this dress. Black and white is so amazing, when it is asymetrical. There are so many ways to go outside of the box, with black and white. Honestly, as a child, I hated it! These were the choir staple colors. However, as I have gotten more wise (lol)...these colors are so classic, timeless, chic and wonderful together. She did not really go outside the box, with any accents of color (lemon, cherry, kiwi, etc.). Of course, those colors would have made the look more dramatic and this dress already pops. Ebony & Ivory can be worn from season to season. The Giuseppe's below would also give the look a little edge. I just love it!

Follow the Yellow Brick Road....

Are you ready for The Wiz? Yes, the stage play is on its way back to Broadway and Dorothy has been upgraded. Ashanti will play the lead role in this classic adventure of wisdom, love and courage. It will be exciting to discover who will be the Scarecrow, Tin-Man and the Lion. If I was to judge by the appearance of Ashanti, this will be a dynamic and creative show. As it pertains to sound, SHE BETTER SING!!!!

F-AB-ULOUS!

Have you seen Mel B, lately? Mel attended an event sponsored by US Weekly and OMG! She looks F-AB-ULOUS! Check out her abs! What has she been doing? What is the secret? Oh! DWTS, sit-ups/crunches by the minute and no carbs. Wow! The shoes look nice and I like how they match the details on the bikini. Practically naked and still stylish.

Jump! Jump!

Ladies, the jumpsuit has returned and it is fabulous. I love jumpsuits! Actually, I believe they should remain an "edgy" staple in your wardrobe. Well, only if you are a risk-taking and rule-breaking kind of gal. These are a few that I have noticed to give you a peek into the upgraded "adult onesie." LOL!! Have fun, take a risk and break a rule. Jump! Jump!

Popcorn Fashion @ the MTV Movie Awards

The 2009 MTV Movie Awards are finished and my primary interest focused on STYLE. There were some fabulous looks and others just bombed (in my opinion). In other words, some were on and poppin. Others....well..you be the judge.

Taraji looks great! Her hair is always styled to perfection. She is working the pose and check out the shoes!

This dress actually reminds me of when my Prom dress was being made. Um, the day of the Prom, it was almost finished. Like, um, I was partially safety pinned into the dress and using the restroom was eventful.

I believe Tyrese thought that he was going to the Country Music Awards. I mean...really. Dark Chocolate just totally disappointed me, from a style perspective.

When I look at this picture, I am thinking about the conversation between her and her stylist. "Okay, let's try the bracelet...great! I think this belt would make the dress...pop. Yes, it looks so nice." No, either the belt or the bracelet. I am not impressed with the mismatched metal. This clutch is a bit too much; however, the shoes are fierce! I probably would have stopped at the belt and shoes, if there were no other options.

Date in the City

President and Mrs. Obama had a date in New York City, this weekend. It was the President's first time in NYC, since making history on January 20th. I am loving the look that Michelle Obama is giving her husband. The bangles on her wrist and the "royal-ty" blue clutch definitely show her sense of style. The splash of color adds charm to the black dress. The smoky eye and chignon are timeless. Mr. President kept it simple and left the tie at the White House. They look amazing!

Have you seen Halle, lately?

Halle is rocking her vintage cut and it still rocks! It's classic, chic, edgy and fun. I am thrilled that she removed the fusion weave. The close-up, waxed strands were not cute. She is back and apparently....brought the freakness, along. Halle and Jamie happened to be attending a Spike TV event, this weekend and....well...check it out!

A Peek at Fall '09

Chains, platforms, asymetrical designs, suede, leather, fur, etc. Fall is such an amazing season. I believe that an individuals true fashion sense is reflective in Fall/Winter. A person can instantly be labeled as stylish or not....during the Fall/Winter season. It is too warm, hot and sticky in the Spring/Summer seasons. People are more concerned about removing, than wearing, articles of clothing. Do not get me wrong, all of the seasons are amazing. However, style....authentic style, is seen in the cooler months. Freedom of expression and layers enable unlimited options.
