Have you seen Halle, lately?

Halle is rocking her vintage cut and it still rocks! It's classic, chic, edgy and fun. I am thrilled that she removed the fusion weave. The close-up, waxed strands were not cute. She is back and apparently....brought the freakness, along. Halle and Jamie happened to be attending a Spike TV event, this weekend and....well...check it out!

A Peek at Fall '09

Chains, platforms, asymetrical designs, suede, leather, fur, etc. Fall is such an amazing season. I believe that an individuals true fashion sense is reflective in Fall/Winter. A person can instantly be labeled as stylish or not....during the Fall/Winter season. It is too warm, hot and sticky in the Spring/Summer seasons. People are more concerned about removing, than wearing, articles of clothing. Do not get me wrong, all of the seasons are amazing. However, style....authentic style, is seen in the cooler months. Freedom of expression and layers enable unlimited options.

Buns and Tails

What is the fascination about the chignon (Buns) and ponytails (Tails)? Honestly, I am a huge fan. I could wear a chignon, everyday and I have...for the past 8 years! I love it! It's quick, convenient, chic and stylish. Obviously, I am not the only fan of "Buns and Tails." I counted 26 random "Buns and Tails," within 10 minutes today. Why? I, for no apparent reason at all, decided to get a haircut. I just wanted a change and really did not feel like wearing the bun, another day. Do I miss it? Not yet. On the other hand, I am sure to let my hair grow out. I have been down this road, several times. Once it becomes long enough....I am certain to join the "Buns and Tails" club.

Witnessed It!

I was there!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!! I witnessed the Inauguration of the 1st African-American President of the United States. I must admit that words cannot express my experiences of this historic day. In spite of the following:

1) Full to capacity Metro parking lots.
2) A pedestrian being struck by a train.
3) Massive lines.
4) Record-breaking crowds.
5) Cement barriers blocking entrances and exits to the Mall.
6) Brutally, cold weather.
7) Disgusting restroom facilities.
8) No liquids.
9) Uncomfortable clothing (5-6 layers).
10) No consistent cellular phone access.

It was worth it!!!! Congratulations, Mr. President!

Rock It!

History was made on November 4, 2008. The first African-American was elected President of the United States. It is just amazing to be alive and present, witnessing such an extraordinary time of events.

I will never forget November 5, 2008. The energy was electrifying and the nation was embracing change. Not to mention, walking to the White House, immediately after Obama was named President Elect. Wow! These are moments that will never be forgotten. As a New Yorker, being in D.C., the night Barack Obama became President.....was truly an experience of a lifetime.

In honor of a man with respect for himself, respect for his wife, respect for his children, intellect, edge, style, grace, charisma, honor, confidence, character, charm, passion, divine focus and courage..... I will ROCK IT!
